A Little About Mr. Wells
Jordan Wells has been teaching for over 10 years in the field of performing arts. As a teacher, he has had the opportunity to work with programs of all levels, bringing the best out of students. Many of his students are now performing professionally or working professionally in the field of music/film/theater.
In music, Jordan made his professional debut in the world premiere of the GRAMMY award winning opera Elmer Gantry, made his international debut at the Teatro della Fortuna in Italy, and was awarded the Brown Loranger Fellowship at SongFest. He has been featured with various companies such as Memphis Repertory Orchestra, Red River Lyric Opera, Opera North, Memphis Opera, and Nashville Opera to name a few.
As a director, he has music directed numerous productions around Memphis. Including multiple seasons at St. Benedict, where Jordan received dozens of nominations from the Orpheum High School Musical Awards for his chorus work, ensemble work, and overall music direction. Including West Side Story, which won Best Overall Production.
Jordan is excited to be teaching Modern Music at West Junior High School!
